You see the need for this everywhere. Lots of mothers commenting in FB groups, saying they are isolated with no "village" to help them raise their children and navigate motherhood. I felt this a lot myself when my kids were very little and was lucky enough to find certain groups at the time... But a lot of them have moved away. So I try to hang on to the connections I have made, because we still have no relatives in the area.

Every single world. I have seen this demise in my own lifetime as well as in the history of Turtle Island, Africa Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand…all over the globe (including Palestine obv) - white supremacy has always been and will continue to be the demise of the world and it must be stopped. As I sit here in my small apartment and small town, I have never felt more separated from life as how it should be. We know NOTHING about how to care for each other, the earth, only how to destroy all the beautifulness that was originally here. Even just listening to the person using a leaf blower across the street makes my skin crawl - how we should be leaving the leaves and grass alone to do what it wants. McMansions and manicured lawns are the “American dream” - but “America”’should never have existed in the first place. Thank you for this amazing piece, we must keep working towards trusting the people who have always known what is best for the planet.
